The consultation includes a tailored dietary and supplement program, full nutritional assessment and a Kitchen Make-over including our famous Shelvic Exam™! A complimentary copy of one of David’s books is included absolutely FREE with your Nutrition Housecall.

When starting on any new lifestyle endeavor, the environment you live and work in can make or break your efforts. The Shelvic Exam™ takes full assessment of your food inventory in your home. Those foods that either reinforce and don’t reinforce your health goals are discussed. And even those foods that might not serve you well can always be incorporated into an overall healthy eating strategy – let us show you how!

To get started, simply download this Questionnaire and send it in. Once we have received it, one of our dietitians will contact you to schedule an appointment.

I am very interested in your house call service.
I live in Highland Park, Il. with my husband and two sons ages 11 & 14.
I have been interested in nutrition for many years.
I find it difficult to meet everyones nutritional needs. My children are very picky eaters. I do not want my family eating processed foods.

I am going to pick up a copy of your new book. My sister is a dietician and she recommended you.
    Thank you,
    Andrea Glass andreaglass@comcast.net

      Hi Andrea:

Of course, I’d be happy to help. On the Nutrition Housecall page, you will find a downloadable questionnaire. Fill it out and send it to me and then I will set up an appointment with you to come and visit your family. Also, feel free to call me at 630-415-9825 if you have other questions. Have a great day!

I have a 19 month son with anemia, low weight, and little appetite; please if you could assist me with his nutrition to bring him up to speed it woud be greatly appreciated. I am very concerned and according to his pediatrition my son is OK and his weight is normal which upsets me terribly. I am seeking your help because I believe the right meal plan will help him get through this. Thank you for your time. I can also be reached at (786) 326-8985

  4. Hi David,

Enjoyed your presentation at the MDA meeting in St. Louis. I spoke with you after your talk. I am a RD in private practice since August.

Thanks for the tip about buying lunch for the doc’s to present services and get referals. Do you follow-up with doc’s later to keep your name out there?

Also wondered how you got started writing a book? Is it hard to get someone to publish? Any starting tips appreciated.

I think relevant, “outside the box” nutrition info, is desparately needed, by the public at large. I am prepared to provide that but so very few “takers.” When I spoke with you, I might have stated, nutrition and wellness don’t sell. – What sells? Beauty! Someone will spend $100s of dollars a month on hair, nails, clothes but will not even invest a few hundred a year for proper nutrition and good health. – How can we as dietitian’s get around that? Can we make nutrition more fun and relevant? Any thoughts on this?
Thanks so much for any input.

To health and “Wellness through Food.”
    Julie

Dave is the real deal. I had the good pleasure to be associated with Dave in his Health Foods Business in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago.

When our daughter fell, her front teeth took quite a blow. Her orthodontist recommended that she maintain good blood flow to her teeth. In five years or so, she could require a root canal if the teeth die.

Question? What natural supplements would provide an adequate blood supply to her teeth?
Helpful information would be most appreciated it. Thanks!

    • guyatitian says:

Hi Don! Hope you and your family are well! Sorry to hear about your daughter’s misfortune but hopefully her teeth will be okay now and in the future.

I wish I could provide advice that is specific to promoting blood flow to the teeth but I’m not aware of a food or supplement that can do that. That said, there are foods and nutrients that I discuss in my second book, 101 Optimal Life Foods, that can increase a substance called nitric oxide which helps promote healthy blood flow. Those foods include oats, barley, almonds, peanuts, olive oil, pomegranates, concord grapes and spinach. Other foods known to help the health of blood vessels are strawberries, kale, celery, onions, thyme, cinnamon, cilantro, green tea, cocoa and chiles

Good luck to your daughter and may she chews her food wisely. Sorry – couldn’t resist!

      Dave
